One of the coolest things about living in Redwood City is that on July 4th there is always SO many block parties going on, in particular in the neighboring Mt. Carmel area.
As I was driving to a bbq on Quartz, I saw so many streets bloked off, with inflatable jumpies, tables full of food, and loads of people just eating, drinking and having fun.
I know I’m probably missing some, but I cruised by block parties on Nevada St., Myrtle, Jeter, and Grand Streets. Heck even the world famous (my designation) “Sixth Grade Dad’s Band” from Mt. Carmel School made an appearance at the Jeter St. block party.
Another great benefit to living in this neighborhood — a great sense of community!
